Lions Mane (Hericium erinaceus)

We love Lions Mane for help with memory and mental functioning!* This plant is actually the mushroom that inspired it all. Our founder was having difficulties with short-term memory from stress and was suggested some Lions mane in lieu of Gingko at her local Whole Foods. She had great success within a couple of weeks and has been taking it ever since! It’s important to mention, Lions Mane only works while you’re taking it, which is unfortunate, but the effects while taking it can be phenomenal. It goes in our founders coffee or tea every morning. (Along with many others)

Here’s a link to a study showing significant cognitive improvement in adults after taking lions mane for four months.

Lions Mane is a medicinal mushroom native to North America, Europe and Asia. It has long dangling spines giving it a shaggy appearance similar too, you guessed it, a lions mane! This wonderful mushroom has gained a lot of notoriety for it’s benefits in short term memory support. Vitro studies have shown Lion’s Mane contains two special compounds that stimulates brain cell growth: Hericenones and Erinacines Click here to read the study
